Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Pediatric Emergency Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in a busy emergency department. This role involves providing exceptional nursing care in a fast-paced environment, focusing on pediatric patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality emergency nursing care to pediatric patients.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize advanced assessment, intervention, and evaluation skills in patient care.
• Maintain accurate and complete patient records using EPIC charting.
• Participate in patient and family education regarding health management and procedures.
• Float to other units as required based on staffing needs, including sister campuses within a 12-mile radius.
• Adhere to safety and quality standards to enhance the patient care experience.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in an Emergency Department is required.
• Experience in Pediatric Emergency Department (PEDS ED) settings is necessary.
• Certifications in Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) are required.
• Proficient in EPIC charting system.
• Ability to work weekends and holidays as needed; minimal to no requests for time off (RTO) accepted.

Work Schedule

This position requires availability for 3×12-hour shifts from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Flexibility and willingness to float between units are essential due to departmental needs.
