Registered Nurse / Medical Surgical

Scheduling Details

• Shift Hours: 3x12s, days, 6:45 AM – 7:15 PM
• Charting: EPIC experience required
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract
• Accept First-Time Travelers: Yes
• Local Candidates Accepted: Yes, subject to radius rule criteria

Required Licenses & Certifications

• BLS Certification
• Pending Licenses Accepted: Yes, if holding a single-state license from a non-compact state; otherwise, an active Virginia or Compact RN/LPN license is required

Clinical Skills

• Proficient in Medical/Surgical care and experienced in the use of Rapid Response/Code teams
• Skilled in peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, and isolation precautions
• Experience in a charge nurse role is preferred

Unit Details

• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Caring for adult patients with various conditions, including elective back surgeries, trauma, prostate cancer, gallbladders, and cellulitis
• Floating within skill set may be required
