Skilled Nursing Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Skilled Nursing Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a short-term Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) environment. This position will focus on providing quality care to patients with various diagnoses and needs, including fractures, joint replacements, wound care, and general weakness.

Schedule

• 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
• 3×12-hour shifts per week
• Every other weekend required

Unit Information

• Average Daily Census: 12 patients
• Number of Rooms: 12
• Total Beds: 17
• Staffing Ratios: 1 RN to 12 patients
• Electronic Medical Records System: Meditech Expanse

Patient Care Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Management of PICC lines and IV starts
• Administration of CPAP therapy
• Care for surgical wounds with drains
• Utilization of wound vac systems
• Adherence to PPE protocols

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS certification required
• Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Floating between units may be necessary

Additional Information

Applicants must be willing to work within a 50-mile travel radius from the assigned location and should have a flexible attitude regarding shift assignments and potential role transitions as needed. The selected candidate will be expected to wear navy blue scrubs while on duty.
