Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Long-Term Care (LTC) unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to elderly patients with various medical conditions. This position requires a compassionate individual with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient condition changes.
• Support residents with mobility and transfer assistance.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents.
• Communicate effectively with nursing staff and report any changes in residents’ health.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to residents.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be current.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) or Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR), specifically Athena.

Unit Information

This position is within a 20-bed geriatric unit specializing in caring for patients with diagnoses such as dementia, COPD, CHF, and deconditioning.
