Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a qualified Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Ambulatory Surgery team. The ideal candidate will have experience in a fast-paced outpatient operating room environment and will be responsible for providing nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 0700-1530.
• Closed: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.

Responsibilities

The Operating Room RN will be responsible for:

• Providing preoperative and postoperative care to patients.
• Assisting the surgical team during procedures.
• Monitoring patient vitals and ensuring safety standards are met.
• Documenting patient care and progress in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role.
• Required Certifications: ACLS and BLS (AHA).
• Experience or Skills: Experience with GI-endoscopy is preferred. Knowledge of local monitoring is a plus.
• Floating Requirements: Candidates should be willing to float between GI and OR cases at multiple locations within the region.

Additional Information

Blue scrubs will be provided. Orientation will include completion of BLS and ACLS certifications prior to the start date and computer-based training during the first week.

Please note that scrubbing as a Registered Nurse is not required, and there is no weekend or holiday on-call commitment for this position.
