Registered Nurse (RN) – Labor and Delivery

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Labor and Delivery team. This position requires a strong background in nursing, with a focus on maternal and newborn care.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients during labor and delivery.
• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rate to ensure the well-being of mother and child.
• Assist in the delivery process and provide immediate postnatal care.
• Float to Med/Surg as needed, supporting a staff-to-patient ratio of 1:2.
• Participate in patient education and support programs.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification.
• ACLS, FHM, NRP, and STABLE certifications are required.
• Hospital experience in Labor and Delivery and/or Med/Surg nursing.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts.

Schedule

This position operates on a night shift schedule, working 3 twelve-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00. Applicants should be prepared for call duties every other weekend.

Additional Information

This role may require floating to Med/Surg with an average census of 2-5 patients. A commitment to providing compassionate care in a community setting is essential.
