MRI Technologist

Job Description

This position involves working overnight shifts on Sunday, Monday, and Friday from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. The MRI Technologist plays a critical role in operating magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to create diagnostic images as directed by physicians.

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI scans as instructed, ensuring high-quality images are produced.
• Obtain and review patient histories to understand their needs and ensure proper imaging protocols are followed.
• Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions.
• Maintain and calibrate MRI equipment to ensure accurate operation.
• Implement safety protocols to protect patients and staff from radiation exposure.
• Assist radiologists in diagnosing patients using the generated images.
• Document procedures and patient information in accordance with established protocols.

Qualifications

• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Experience in MRI technology is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work in high-pressure situations and handle multiple tasks effectively.

Schedule

This position requires availability for overnight shifts on specific days of the week. Flexibility in scheduling may be necessary to accommodate departmental needs.
