Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical Float

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical Surgical Float to provide high-quality patient care across various units. This role is essential for supporting our acute care setting by filling staffing needs as determined by the nursing supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Float to various medical and surgical units based on patient and staffing needs.
• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with diverse medical conditions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize Cerner EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Adhere to hospital policies and protocols while maintaining a safe and effective environment.

Shift Details:

• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM with a 30-minute lunch break for a total of 12 hours.
• Ratios: Typically 1:6, varying according to departmental needs.
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a comparable acuity hospital.
• Active, unencumbered RN license in Tennessee or a multi-state license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Cerner EMR experience is mandatory.
