Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency room setting while adhering to established protocols and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide patient care, including IV start, triage, and telemetry monitoring.
• Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3 to 1:5.
• Participate in daily shift huddles to discuss patient needs and objectives.
• Float between the Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health as required.
• Attend to a patient volume of approximately 250 visits per day in a 101-bed setting.
• Ensure compliance with all established clinical best practices and protocols.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in an acute care environment.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, MOAB.
• Completion of EKG testing prior to the start date is mandatory.

Work Schedule

• Shifts: 12-hour mid shifts from 11:00 to 23:00.
• Work hours: 36-48 hours per week.
• A minimum of 4 weekend shifts required every 6-week period, with potential for assignment on every other weekend.

Unit Information

• Orientation: 24-hour orientation process.
• Scrub Color: Navy and white scrubs are required.
• Utilized Systems: Pyxis, EPIC, SBAR.
• Patient Population: Diverse, including regional referral and tertiary care patients.

Additional Information

Please note that after booking, requesting time off (RTO) is not permitted and will not be accommodated onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO could potentially lead to cancellation and a Do Not Return (DNR) designation. Block scheduling is not available.
