L&D Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated L&D Registered Nurse (RN) for a challenging and rewarding opportunity. This position offers valuable experience in a high-risk labor and delivery unit that handles a diverse patient population.

Assignment Details

• Assignment Length: 13 or 26 weeks
• Start Date: ASAP
• Shift: 3×12 or 4×12 nights
• Years of Experience: Minimum of 1 year required
• First Timers Accepted: Yes
• Weekend Requirement: Yes, every other weekend
• Guaranteed Hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks; potential for being called off for one 12-hour shift every two weeks

Qualifications

• Licensure: Must hold an active Alaska RN license in hand for auto offer; pending licenses accepted but must obtain the license before starting
• Certifications Required: BLS, ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate and Advanced, NRP
• Skills Required: Charge experience preferred or willingness to train for charge role

Unit Information

Join a high-risk labor and delivery unit that features:

• 10 OB Triage Rooms
• 10 Labor, Delivery, Recovery Rooms
• 3 Operating Room suites
• 4 Post Anesthesia Care Units
• Average daily deliveries: 7, with capacity for up to 14 patients including inductions and high-risk antepartum
• OB Triage averages 4-5 third-trimester testing patients in addition to regular triage influx
