Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/ER

Job Overview

This position offers an opportunity for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to work in our Med Surg and Emergency Room units. The RN will provide comprehensive care to patients in various settings, including inpatient, observation, and swing bed, as well as outpatient care for patients requiring infusions or treatments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in both Med Surg and Emergency Room settings.
• Monitor and document patient status and progress using computerized charting and barcode medication scanning via Epic.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide emergency care to incoming patients while managing Med Surg responsibilities as required.
• Participate in rounding and care discussions with healthcare teams.

Shifts and Scheduling

This position involves rotating shifts, including day and night rotations. The schedule includes every third weekend and alternating holidays.

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license with a minimum of 2 years of experience in Med Surg and/or Emergency Room settings.
• Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and PALS.
• Experience with computerized charting and electronic health records preferred.

Additional Information

Registered Nurses are expected to adhere to dress code requirements, wearing navy blue scrubs during their shift. A solid foundation in care delivery, along with adaptability to a fast-paced environment, is essential for success in this role.
