Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position. This role requires a commitment to providing high-quality patient care while working effectively within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Position Details

• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• Contract Length: 12 weeks
• Shift: 3×12 (may consider 4×12) Night shifts from 20:00 to 08:30

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical setting.
• Assist with patient assessments, interventions, and evaluations.
• Maintain patient safety and support optimal patient outcomes.
• Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and maintain clear communication.
• Float within the specialty and to sister units as necessary, adhering to lower acuity as needed.
• Participate in holiday and weekend shifts as scheduled.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required; first-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Current RN license in the state of Maryland.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are mandatory.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification required.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification required.

Work Environment

• Average daily census of 40-42 patients.
• Room/beds ratio of 22/42.
• Nurse to patient ratio of 1:5.
• Scrub color: Navy Blue.
