Physical Therapist

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide physical therapy evaluations and treatment across various settings, including outpatient, inpatient, and home care, while also supervising Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs). This role may require flexibility in schedule and location.

Job Details

• Unit Type: Physical Therapy
• Shift Length: 8 hours
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays in rotation with staff

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct physical therapy evaluations and develop treatment plans to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Deliver physical therapy treatment utilizing various modalities and techniques.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants.
• Maintain accurate documentation using EPIC computer charting.
• Utilize equipment such as Ultrasound, Estim, and Tractium Ionto during therapy sessions.

Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a clinical setting with a focus on orthopedics and rehabilitation.
• Certifications: Current BLS certification and a valid Physical Therapist license in Minnesota.
• Background Check: Successful completion of a Minnesota background study.

Working Conditions

The position is primarily located in a well-equipped outpatient department featuring a wellness center, alongside a 15-bed hospital. Casual dress is required, with scrubs in approved colors.

Training and Orientation

New hires will receive training for the EPIC system as needed, with ongoing support from management to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
