Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The position involves working night shifts on a 12-hour schedule with a rotation that includes weekends and holidays. This role offers the possibility of flexible scheduling, including four 12-hour shifts and assignment lengths of up to 26 weeks for interested travelers.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and pediatric patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform triage, assessments, and interventions in emergency situations.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and monitor patient responses.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Participate in staff meetings and continuing education opportunities to enhance professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of Emergency Department experience with both adult and pediatric patient populations within the last three years.
• Current Wisconsin RN license or a valid Compact RN license is required.
• Certifications in BLS, PALS, and ACLS from the American Heart Association (AHA) are mandatory.
• Ability to successfully complete a Telemetry test prior to starting the position.
