Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) with a strong background in MEDITECH and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
• At least 1 travel assignment completed.
• MUST have MEDITECH experience.
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ASLS or NIHSS, CPI.

Unit Information

• Daily patient volume: Approximately 180-200 visits.
• 6-bed behavioral lockdown area staffed by psychiatric professionals.
• ED nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:4.
• Central monitoring tech available for tele/monitoring tasks.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Manage care for pediatric to geriatric patients, including trauma and neuro cases.
• Nurses are responsible for lab draws and IV starts.
• Collaborate with a dedicated respiratory therapist available 24/7.
• Oversee medication management with pharmacy services available 24/7.
• Participate in a structured orientation program lasting 2 shifts.

Schedule Requirements

• Weekend availability: Every other weekend.
• Holiday coverage required: Every other holiday.

Additional Information

• Scrub color: Caribbean Blue.
• Dedicated support staff including nurse aides and paramedics (5-6 per shift).
• Adhere to the callout process and complete orientation within the first week of employment.
