Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab/Angio

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Interventional/Cardiac/Vascular unit. The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in cardiology and interventional radiology, with the ability to manage various procedures effectively.

Shift Information

• Variable shifts: Days with varied times
• Shifts may be 8 or 10 hours long
• 40 hours per week with call requirements
• Expected to take call 1-2 days per week and approximately every 2-3 weekends, including holidays

Core Responsibilities

• Assist in angiography, cardiac catheterization procedures, pacemaker placements, and intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) insertions.
• Demonstrate proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring and application of specialized skills when caring for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Maintain knowledge of radiology equipment, image processing, as well as Computerized Tomography, Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Ultrasound, and Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Utilize EMR systems effectively, specifically Meditech.
• Collaborate with a small call team to ensure quality patient care during procedural interventions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an interventional cath lab.
• Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS/BCLS).
• Demonstrated basic understanding of diagnostic and interventional cardiology procedures.

• Siemens Equipment
• Two laboratory setups for conducting procedures
