Surgical Technologist

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic experience to join our surgical services team. The ideal candidate will be certified and have a minimum of 18 months of relevant experience, with a preference for those with 2 or more years in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the surgical team in preparing for and conducting surgical procedures.
• Maintain the sterile field and ensure the safety of patients during operations.
• Handle instruments and equipment during surgery with precision.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
• Adhere to all safety and procedural protocols to maintain a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• Certified Surgical Technologist with strong orthopedic background.
• Minimum of 18 months surgical experience is required; 2 years is preferred.
• National Certification (NBSTSA and/or NCCT) is preferred but not required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (AHA or American Red Cross).
• Ability to float to other departments as needed within the scope of practice.
• Willingness to accommodate various scheduling requirements based on operational needs.

Work Schedule

This position entails a day shift schedule of 4×10 hours, from 06:30 to 17:00. Weekend requirements and potential on-call duties will be discussed during the interview.
