This position involves providing compassionate and effective administration of hyperbaric oxygen therapy and related testing for patients with various medical conditions, including diabetes, COVID-19, cancer treatment complications, and surgical wounds.
Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the competencies of a Hyperbaric Technician, including self-leadership and collaborative engagement with medical staff.
- Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of the Clinical Coordinator and Medical Director.
- Operate and maintain hyperbaric oxygen chambers safely and efficiently.
- Engage in effective communication with colleagues to enhance patient care and operational processes.
- Maintain accurate patient care data to support effective treatment outcomes.
- Perform additional duties as delegated by supervisory nursing staff.
Job Requirements:
Education and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- Completion of an approved introductory course in Hyperbaric Medicine.
- Relevant medical training supported by appropriate licensure and certifications.
- Strong commitment to patient welfare and safety.
- Basic computer skills and ability to perform operational mathematics.
- Proficient communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to read and comprehend professional journals and regulatory documents.
- Proficiency in Spanish is considered a plus.
Experience:
- 1-3 years of relevant experience required.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications:
- Current certification as a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist.
- BLS certification required.
Work Schedule:
Standard work hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 4:30 PM.
