Cath Lab Tech

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to join our dynamic cardiac cath lab team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform pre-procedural assessments and patient preparations.
• Assist physicians during catheterization procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Operate imaging equipment and maintain high-quality standards in imaging techniques.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs throughout procedures.
• Participate in the maintenance and upkeep of equipment and supplies in the cath lab.
• Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and infection control procedures.
• Assist in the education and training of new staff as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Tech, demonstrating competency in all aspects of cath lab diagnostics and interventions, including structural procedures.
• Active state license and ARRT registration are mandatory prior to starting the assignment.
• Experience in a Level IV Trauma Center and/or teaching hospital is preferred.
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to ensure patient care and collaboration within the team.

Schedule and Requirements

• Shift: 4×10 hour days from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
• On-call requirement with a 30-minute response time required for weekends.
• Daily caseload of approximately 8-10 cases.
• Weekend on-call only, from Friday 7 PM through Monday 7 AM, rotating shifts.
• Floating to other departments may be required to meet facility needs, but primarily will remain in the cath lab.
• No floating to sister facilities required.
• Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week.
• RTO restrictions: None.
• Scrub color: Provided.
