Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiac care and experience in both diagnostic and interventional procedures in the Cath Lab, including structural interventions.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Monitor patient conditions and react promptly to changes in status.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Assist in achieving optimal outcomes through the preparation, administration, and monitoring of medications, including sedation.
• Educate patients and their families regarding procedures, care, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Cerner electronic charting.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in West Virginia required; pending licenses will be accepted but an active license must be obtained prior to starting.
• A minimum of 2 years of RN experience with at least 1 year of experience specifically in the Cath Lab.
• Competency in all aspects of Cath Lab procedures, including both diagnostic and interventional practices.
• ARRT registration is required.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Work Schedule

This position is for a day shift schedule of 4×10 hours, from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The RN will be required to be on call for 2-3 weekday nights and rotate weekend call every 4-5 weeks.

Additional Information

• No floating outside the Cath Lab will be required; the nurse will primarily stay within this specialty area.
• Free parking is provided for staff and travelers.
• Scrub colors will be provided as part of the position’s requirements.
• Guaranteed hours of 36 per week.
