Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position involves working on a 32-bed medical/surgical unit that emphasizes the adoption of new technologies and innovative nursing practices. The team is composed of early adopters of new methods and technologies in nursing. This role may require floating to cover staffing needs as necessary.

Shift Details

• Evening shifts: 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00)
• Every other weekend commitment is required

Holiday Rotation

Staff is assigned to a holiday rotation, which requires working one summer and one winter holiday each year. If two holidays fall during the assignment, the expectation is to work one. If three holidays occur, the expectation is to work two.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical/surgical environment
• Participate in self-scheduling within assigned groups, which rotate each scheduling period
• Engage with new technologies and equipment to enhance patient care
• Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6
• Complete employee health requirements on the first day of employment

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required
• First-time applicants are welcome
• Local candidates within a 50-mile radius are not accepted
• Pending licenses are not accepted
