Shift Information

Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Position Overview

This Registered Nurse (RN) position is for the 4 West Comprehensive Medical Unit, with occasional responsibilities in various Medical-Surgical units, including Stroke, Oncology, Cardiac, and Observation. The role requires commitment to a 36-hour workweek, with every other weekend scheduled. There is no on-call requirement.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Comprehensive Medical Unit.
• Float between various Med-Surg units as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient conditions and assess needs for additional interventions.
• Document patient care activities using Epic electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient outcomes.
• Prepare for and participate in competency assessments related to telemetry.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of current or recent experience in Telemetry and/or Stepdown nursing.
• Proficient in reading telemetry; competency testing will be conducted upon hire.
• Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system is mandatory; refresher courses are not available.

Additional Requirements

Holiday coverage is required as part of the role.
