Schedule

The position offers a dynamic work schedule consisting of 5 weeks with 4×10 hour days (07:00 – 17:30), followed by 1 week of 5/8 hour days (08:00 – 16:30). This scheduling structure provides a 4-day weekend every 6 weeks.

Weekend and Call Requirements

• Weekend availability is required as part of call responsibilities.
• The role includes being on call for 12-14 days over a 6-week period, with the expectation of covering 1-2 weekends during this time.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the facility for on-call purposes.

Floating

Float within the facility and perform tasks as required, adhering to the scope of practice.

Minimum Experience

A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. First-time travelers are welcome to apply.

Clinical Screening

Candidates will undergo a clinical review to determine fit for the role. If the clinical assessment is passed and adheres to the guidelines, candidates will be presented to management for a final decision. Clinical screenings are carried out on a case-by-case basis.

Time Off Requests

Maximum allowable time off is 7 days during the assignment period.

Holiday Expectations

Travelers are expected to work during major holidays as follows:

• If assigned during one major holiday, the traveler must work that holiday.
• If assigned during two major holidays, the traveler is expected to work both.
• If assigned during three major holidays, the traveler must work two of those holidays.

Major holidays include:

• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday
• Christmas Eve/Christmas Day
• New Year’s Eve/New Year’s Day

Compliance

Full compliance is required to start the assignment on schedule. Non-compliance may result in a delay of up to 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Local Candidates

Local candidates are welcome to apply and will receive the same rates as travelers.

Orientation

The number of non-billable orientation hours is determined by the contract length (e.g., 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 10 hours for a 10-week assignment).
