Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

The Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care while potentially floating to units J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department (ED) to cater to a diverse patient population. This role requires a commitment to delivering high-quality care and adaptability to meet the operational needs of the healthcare environment.

Shifts

• Rotating shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM and 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Shifts may vary to accommodate operational requirements; traveler preferences will be considered
• Must work at least every other holiday

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe and effective patient care in accordance with established protocols and standards
• Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status as necessary
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to create and implement individualized care plans
• Assist in the maintenance of a safe and therapeutic environment for patients
• Complete ECG rhythm recognition and safeMedicate assessments with acceptable scores during orientation

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty area
• Must possess a valid Ohio nursing license or a compact state license
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications required
