Registered Nurse – Inpatient Rehab/Med Surg

Shift Details

• Shift hours: 3x12s, nights, 7 PM – 7 AM
• Weekend Requirement: May be every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week scheduling block
• Holiday Requirement: Must work one holiday per 13-week contract

Charting Requirements

• Experience with EPIC preferred

Certifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) Blue Certification highly preferred

Clinical Skills

• Experience in Medical Surgical and Rehabilitation settings is essential
• Proficient in peripheral line care and management
• Skilled in non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, nasal cannula, and isolation precautions

Unit Information

• Patient ratios: 1 nurse to 6 patients, may flex up to 1:7
• Common patient diagnoses include stroke, spinal cord injury, traumatic brain injury, amputations, and multi-trauma
• 33-bed adult Med Surg unit (no telemetry)
• May require floating to other medical surgical units as needed
