Job Description

The Emergency Department Technician is a vital support role within the healthcare team, providing essential assistance to medical staff in the fast-paced environment of the emergency department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist medical personnel with patient care, including preparation and transport of patients.
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient statuses in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the emergency department, ensuring readiness for patient care.
• Prepare and assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ensuring all equipment is properly prepared and functioning.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations, supporting the healthcare team as needed.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment procedures accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or within a healthcare environment.
• Current certification as a Medical Assistant or Emergency Medical Technician preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure situations and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Basic life support (BLS) certification required.
