Imaging Support IR Tech
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Imaging Support Interventional Radiology (IR) Technician to join our dynamic team. This role requires an individual who is comfortable actively engaging in the entire case workflow rather than simply operating the equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong vascular and interventional radiology experience, familiarity with hybrid operating room procedures, and the ability to work independently.
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day shift, 5 consecutive 8-hour shifts or 4 consecutive 10-hour shifts (07:30 AM – 04:00 PM)
- Rotating call schedule every 4th week
- Open to later start dates
- Must adhere to a 50-mile radius rule
Key Responsibilities
- Pull and order inventory in EPIC prior to procedures
- Operate the table and controls during cases
- Execute 3D spins and work with fusion technology
- Be actively engaged throughout procedures, including filming and post-processing images
- Utilize HI-IQ for documentation and adding inventory used during cases
- Collaborate closely with vascular surgeons, OR team, and other procedural team members
- Support simple surgical cases using a C-arm during downtime, including procedures such as Impellas and cystoscopy
Qualifications
- Must have current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- ARRT certification required
- Active Virginia license required, with eligibility for temporary licensure if licensed in another state (ETA for processing approximately 8 weeks)
- Strong background in Vascular and Interventional Radiology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
