Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Med-Surg and Telemetry to join our Float Pool team. The ideal candidate will be equipped to provide exceptional patient care across various units in a short-term acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in Med-Surg and Telemetry units.
• Float between different units as needed, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in various clinical environments.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Utilize Cerner for accurate and efficient patient charting.
• Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and medical staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in Med-Surg and Telemetry settings.
• Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
• BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights.

Working Conditions

This position operates within a major teaching hospital that is recognized as a Level II Trauma center, with a total of 330 staffed beds. The role requires night shifts of 3×12 hours (19:00 – 07:00). When reporting to surgery, nurses will need to wear surgery scrubs, which will be provided.
