Registered Nurse (RN)

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for our Intermediate Care Unit. The candidate must hold a current Illinois nursing license and certifications in CPR, ACLS, and NIHSS. Additionally, candidates should be graduates of an accredited nursing program, with education verification required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in the care of patients.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and standards of care.
• Document care according to established standards.
• Develop, initiate, and execute individualized patient care plans as prescribed by Physicians and hospital policy, including patient and family education.
• Participate in department or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient’s longitudinal plan of care.
• Utilize critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, and escalates issues appropriately within the chain of command.

Shift Information

Night shift, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Holiday coverage is required.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS.
