Registered Nurse (RN) – Cath Lab

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with a background in Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (IR) to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in providing critical care and support during interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and circulate during interventional procedures.
• Manage telemetry and patient monitoring.
• Handle STEMI calls and provide emergency response care.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call coverage for emergent and urgent procedures.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment with rotating coverage across various services.

Work Schedule

• Shift: 8-hour days from 07:30 to 16:00.
• Call Requirement: Evening and weekend call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab and IR required.
• First-time travelers are welcome.
• Local candidates accepted.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH Stroke Scale.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with IV starts, triage, PA lines, and conscious sedation.

Patient Population

The department primarily handles interventional radiology and invasive cardiology procedures, with a case mix reflecting an 85% IR focus.

Unit Information

The unit adapts to support diverse cardiovascular procedures, operating Monday through Friday, with continuous support for STEMI and emergent IR cases.

Orientation

A 16-hour orientation session is provided to help new team members acclimate to unit practices and protocols.

Scrubs

Scrubs will be provided for this position.

Additional Notes

Successful candidates will be required to pass EKG testing prior to starting in this specialty.
