ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified ICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a night shift position in a Medical Intensive Care Unit. This role requires expertise in critical care nursing and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the intensive care unit.
• Utilize advanced critical thinking and clinical skills to assess and monitor patient conditions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Implement and evaluate care plans based on patient needs and responses.
• Administer medications and therapies as ordered, maintaining a high standard of care.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the ICU or critical care specialty is required.
• Current and valid Ohio nursing license or compact state license is mandatory.
• Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is required.
• Travelers must be available to work at least every other holiday.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation is required.

Shift Details

This position involves working the night shift, with scheduled hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM for a total of three 12-hour shifts per week.
