Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Float Pool. This position requires flexibility to float to various Medical-Surgical Telemetry units as needed and to support overflow areas. Night shifts, weekends, and holidays are a standard expectation for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in assigned units.
• Float to different Medical-Surgical Telemetry floors as required.
• Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures while delivering quality patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members for optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Med-Surg Telemetry.
• Ability to pass Telemetry Competency Exam.
• Current Advanced Heart Life Support (AHABLS) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification through AHA.
• Documented professional development activities.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.

Additional Information

Orientation sessions occur biweekly. Interviews will be conducted by the Nurse Manager. Candidates are required to test within 48 hours of offer for ECG/Telemetry and medication competency, achieving a passing score of 85%. There is a single opportunity to pass; preparation is strongly advised.

Travelers who have worked within the organization as travel, permanent, or per diem staff within the last six months are not eligible for this position.
