Certifications Required

• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• ARRT R or CCI RCIS or CCI RCES

General Skills and Work Setting Requirements

An Electrophysiology Technician is needed to support the Electrophysiology Lab.

Ratio / Census

2 rooms; Patient ratio of 1:5, with 8-12 patients per day.

• Pyxis

Scrub Color

Provided by the facility.

Request Time Off (RTO)

Maximum of 7 days.

RTO Blackout Dates

Spring Break (April 4th-12th).

Weekends

Every other weekend, unless specified otherwise.

Floating

Floating is rare but may occur within the facility as needed and within the scope of practice.

Call Requirements

Call is required, but there is no weekend call, although the technician must be prepared to stay past shift hours if on call that day.

Holidays

If one major holiday occurs during the assignment, the technician is expected to work it. If two major holidays occur, both are required. If three major holidays arise, the technician must work a minimum of two.

Compliance

Full compliance is required to start on time. If not compliant on time, the start date may be pushed back by 2 weeks due to the bi-weekly orientation schedule.

Clinical Screen

Candidates will be assessed clinically to determine compatibility. If the clinical review is successful and aligns with guidelines, the candidate will proceed to the management final decision. Clinical screens are conducted on a case-by-case basis.

Locals Accepted

Local candidates will be offered the same rate as non-locals.

Orientation Hours

The number of Non-Billable Orientation (NBO) hours is determined by the length of the contract (for example, 8 hours for an 8-week assignment; 19 hours for a 19-week assignment).

Work Schedule

Day shift of 4×10-hour (07:00 – 17:30).
