ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

An opportunity is available for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse to join a dynamic team providing critical care in a surgical intensive care unit. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Shifts

This position requires working three 12-hour shifts per week, with rotating day and night shifts:

• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

While the preferred shift will be honored whenever possible, flexibility may be required to meet the operational needs of the unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to critically ill patients.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and administer medications as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding care procedures and health management strategies.
• Participate in the orientation and training of new staff members.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the ICU specialty is required.
• Current Ohio nursing license or a compact state license in hand.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale certification required.
• Successful completion of an ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation is mandatory.
