Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and assess the needs of admitted patients in the Emergency Department.
• Perform medication administration, including IV medication, according to established protocols.
• Document and communicate clinical findings accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
• Support the management of admitted patients and assist with patient flow in the ED holding area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Level 1 Trauma Emergency Department preferred; candidates with 1.5 years may be considered.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS, and TNCC.
• Travel experience is strongly preferred; however, candidates with 2+ years of Level 1 experience will also be considered.
• No local candidates within a 100-mile radius will be accepted.
• COVID vaccination is optional but must be reported.

Work Schedule

This position offers shifts of 3×12 hours, primarily during night hours. Weekend and holiday shifts are required, with scheduling flexibility based on staffing needs.

Additional Information

• Guaranteed hours based on contracted agreement (36/48/40 hours per week).
• Potential for floating to pediatric emergency departments and adult patient care units as needed.
• Open to accommodating a block schedule for travelers.
• Current need includes increased admit holds, requiring efficient management of patient assignments.
