Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for our Skilled Nursing units. The ideal candidate must possess a current Wisconsin license, education verification, and CPR certification. Travelers may be required to float to other inpatient units based on census needs.

Shift Information

• 0.9 FTE day shift 0630-1900
• Every third weekend required
• Holiday coverage required

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques, policies, procedures, and state laws/practice acts.
• Document nursing care in compliance with established standards.
• Develop, implement, and execute individualized patient care plans, as prescribed by the physician and/or in accordance with hospital policies, including patient and family education.
• Engage in departmental or unit performance improvement activities, which may include shared governance initiatives.
• Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units or departments to support the patient’s longitudinal care plan.
• Apply critical thinking regarding patient safety and experience, escalating issues appropriately through the chain of command.

Qualifications

• Minimum of less than 1 year of experience required.
• Current BLS/BCLS certification is required.
