Interventional Radiology Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Interventional Radiology Technologist with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-volume environment. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary certifications and demonstrate proficiency in various interventional procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform interventional radiology procedures in accordance with established standards.
• Maintain a sterile field and adhere to sterile techniques during all procedures.
• Assist in preparing patients for procedures, including site preparation and monitoring.
• Conduct fluoroscopy and ensure optimal imaging quality.
• Place and remove Inferior Vena Cava (IVC) filters in a safe and effective manner.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Interventional Radiology.
• Completed at least one travel assignment in a similar role.
• Required certifications: ARRT Registered, Maryland State License, and ACLS.
• Preferred certifications: ARRT Vascular Interventional.
• Extensive experience with angioplasty and other special procedures.
• Proficient in Siemens imaging technology and Cerner charting system.

Schedule

This position offers a 5×8 day shift schedule from 08:00 to 16:30 with potential availability for 4×10 shifts. Orientation takes place every Monday.

On-Call Responsibilities

• Participate in rotation for on-call duties, Monday through Friday from 4 PM to 9 PM, and on weekends from 9 AM to 2 PM.
• On-call responsibilities are shared among a team of four technologists.
