Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking dedicated and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurses to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pediatric care, particularly in hematology and oncology settings.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• First-time travelers with the required experience are welcome to apply.
• Valid certifications: BCLS and PALS.
• Preferred skills include IV start, lab draw, and chemotherapy experience.

Job Details

• Patient Ratios: 1:5-6
• Shift: 36 hours, 12-hour days (06:45 – 19:15)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• RTO: Maximum of 7 days for Aya Auto Offer
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Call Requirement: None
• Float Requirement: Required to float to PICU and NICU

Patient Population

Care will be provided for patients ages 0-17 with medical-surgical conditions and those receiving hematology/oncology treatments.

Unit Information

• Unit Systems: PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
• Scheduling Type: Self-scheduling
• Orientation: 24 hours of unit orientation with availability required for daily classes during the first week.
• Scrubs: Not provided; fun kid tops and navy pants required.
