Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide support in delivering physical therapy services, optimizing patient mobility, and assisting individuals in meeting their rehabilitation goals. This role involves working under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in compliance with state and federal regulations as well as facility guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Implement therapy interventions as directed in the PT plan of care.
• Document patient progress and responses to treatment accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assist in educating patients on their treatment protocols and home exercise programs.
• Communicate patient status and any relevant updates to the supervising PT.
• Ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and compliance standards in all interactions and interventions.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
• Possession of an active state PTA license or demonstration of ability to obtain one.
• Capability to follow treatment plans and collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams to enhance patient care.
