Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, specifically focusing on ophthalmology cases.

Shift Information

• Full-Time: 3×12-hour shifts
• Day Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM
• On-call requirements for ophthalmology cases (up to 4-6 shifts every 4 weeks)

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and management of ophthalmology surgical procedures, including retinal detachments, vitrectomy, cataract removal, and eye trauma.
• Float within the scope of practice to meet facility needs, including between like units and sister facilities as necessary.
• Utilize advanced technology and collaborate with a team of medical professionals to provide exceptional patient care in a busy operating room setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in an operating room setting, with a strong preference for experience in ophthalmology cases.
• First-time travelers are encouraged to apply.
• Active RN license in South Carolina or a Multi-State/Compact RN license.
• Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Radiation badge (provided by agency).
• Experience in trauma settings; preference for scrub experience.

• Parking is available with a registration fee for a hang tag that covers the designated parking garage.
• Travelers may be assigned to emergency response teams during hurricane season (June – November).
