Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in emergency care, triage, and telemetry, effectively handling a diverse patient population in a fast-paced environment.

Job Details

• Ratios: 1:3-5
• Daily Patient Visits: Approximately 250
• Number of Beds: 101
• Contract Length: 26 weeks
• Shift: 12 Hour Nights (18:45-07:15)
• Float Requirement: Must be willing to float between Emergency Observation Unit and Emergency Behavioral Health.
• Weekend Requirement: Minimum of 4 weekends within a 6-week period; may require every other weekend.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years in emergency nursing; first-time travelers are accepted.
• Skills: IV Start, Triage, and Telemetry.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS, MOAB. Preferred certifications include TNCC.

Patient Population

The unit serves as a regional referral and tertiary care center, catering to a broad spectrum of patient needs and conditions.

• SBAR
• Daily shift huddles

Orientation

A comprehensive 24-hour orientation will be provided to all new staff.

Dress Code

Scrubs must be navy and white.

Additional Notes

Candidates must pass an EKG testing requirement prior to commencing work in this specialty. Please note that RTO after booking is not permitted and onsite adjustments cannot be made. Call offs or additional RTO could lead to cancellations and DNR.
