Infusion Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Infusion Nurse to join our outpatient IV therapy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients receiving intravenous therapies, including chemotherapy and immunotherapy. This is a full-time position with a commitment to quality patient-centered care and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Years of Experience: Minimum of 2 years, including at least 1 year of travel experience.
• Education Required: RN License to practice in the state of Maine.
• Preferred Certifications: ONS Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Card.

Unit Information

• Infusion Spaces: 21 chairs with an average daily census of 46 patients.
• Patient Ratios: Varies based on treatment type and acuity, ranging from 1:7 to 1:9.
• Equipment: IV Pump
• EMR: Epic

Responsibilities

• Administer peripheral IVs and manage central line care.
• Perform medication administration and blood transfusions.
• Provide chemotherapy and immunotherapy as needed.
• Focus on quality patient-centered care and effective communication within the team.
• Adjust and prioritize tasks as needed throughout the day.
