CNA I (GNA)

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA I) to join our team in a float pool capacity. The ideal candidate will provide essential care to adult and geriatric patients across multiple units, demonstrating compassion and professionalism in every interaction.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 3×12-hour shifts
• Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in accordance with established care plans.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
• Observe and report changes in patients’ health status to nursing staff.
• Support a safe and clean environment for patients while adhering to infection control protocols.
• Float between various units, which may include ICU, LTAC, LTC, skilled nursing, medical-surgical/telemetry, behavioral health, rehabilitation, and stepdown/PCU units as per facility needs.

Qualifications

• Active CNA I certification required at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 2 years of GNA experience required (combination of CNA/GNA experience is not accepted).
• AHA BLS certification required.
• Must be willing to float between like units based on patient acuity and staffing needs.
• Orientation: 24 hours of orientation will be provided across multiple units.

Additional Information

• Position requires occasional floating across different specialty care areas, ensuring all care is within the scope of practice.
• Time off restrictions: Pre-approval for holiday week requests is not available. Every other holiday is mandatory.
• Up to 14 days of request time off may be pre-approved outside of blackout dates.
• Candidates may receive orientation across various patient care settings, including units focusing on pulmonary care, rehabilitation, memory care, and more.
