Registered Nurse (RN)

Position Overview

This position involves working on a 32-bed medical/surgical unit dedicated to innovative nursing practices and the integration of new technologies. RNs in this role will be part of a dynamic team that embraces early adoption of cutting-edge equipment and methodologies.

Schedule and Shift Details

• Shift: Night shifts, working 3×12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00.
• Weekend requirements: Every other weekend.
• Holiday rotation: Must work one summer and one winter holiday as part of the rotation.
• This position may require floating to cover staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply.
• Certifications required: Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Local candidates (within 50 miles) are not eligible for this position.
• Pending licenses will not be accepted.

Additional Information

RNs will take a drug screening at Employee Health on their first day, followed by orientation activities. The first shift will commence on the Tuesday following the start date.

Patient Care Ratios

The unit operates under a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6, ensuring that RNs can provide high-quality care to their patients.

Time Off (RTO) Policy

In the event that the assignment includes holidays, nurses are expected to work at least one holiday if there is one holiday in the assignment. If there are two holidays, nurses are expected to work at least one, and if there are three, they should expect to work two holidays. All requests for time off must be included with the submission cover letters and assignment confirmation documents.
