CVOR Technologist

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CVOR Technologist with strong vascular experience to join our dynamic surgical services team. This position involves working four 10-hour shifts during the day, providing essential support in the cardiovascular operating room.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist surgical teams during cardiovascular procedures with a focus on vascular surgeries.
• Perform various clinical tasks and maintain a sterile environment.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and health regulations.
• Maintain equipment and supplies necessary for surgical procedures.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a CVOR Technologist.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) is required.
• Local candidates are encouraged to apply; candidates must be located over 50 miles from the facility to qualify as local.

On-Call Requirements

On-call responsibilities will be discussed during the interview process, with variations based on staffing levels:

• Vascular on-call: 7 to 10 days, including weekends.
• Hearts on-call: 10 to 15 days and two weekends, covering Friday through Sunday.

Additional Information

All requested time off (RTO) must be included at the time of submission and will be approved based on the needs of the department. The facility retains the right to call off one shift per two-week period.
