Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our adult critical care team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive respiratory care to patients in critical condition. This role involves working in a fast-paced environment requiring a strong commitment to patient care and teamwork.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and manage ventilatory support for patients with respiratory failure.
• Utilize advanced respiratory therapy techniques and equipment.
• Provide patient assessments and develop individual treatment plans.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records using EPIC charting.
• Demonstrate competence in operating Hamilton ventilators.

Qualifications

• Current license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience in adult critical care is highly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts based on staffing needs.

Schedule Options

We offer flexibility in scheduling, with options for a standard 3 x 12-hour shift arrangement or a 48-hour work week consisting of 4 x 12-hour shifts.
