Nuclear Medicine Technologist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team. This role involves performing diagnostic imaging and procedures in the field of nuclear medicine.

Key Responsibilities

• Draw venous blood and perform pharmaceutical stress testing.
• Start and maintain IVs, and handle radioactive materials safely, including storage, handling, and disposal.
• Utilize specialized equipment, including Siemens Biograph mCT/FLOW, for diagnostic procedures.
• Work closely with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and accurate imaging results.
• Adhere to isolation precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology.
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply; local candidates are accepted.
• Required certifications include ARRT (N), CNMT, BLS, and PET.
• Additional skills in PET and pharmacological stress testing are mandatory.
• CT experience is preferred along with ARRT (CT) certification.

Work Schedule

This position offers 40 hours per week, with shifts of 8 hours from 08:00 to 16:30. There may be potential call and float requirements, but no weekend shifts are expected.

Patient Population

The technologist will work primarily with patients in the following areas:

• Oncology: Initial staging and follow-ups.
• Pediatric Oncology.
• Neurology: Beta Amyloid assessments for dementia.
• Cardiology: MPI stress testing.

Orientation

The position requires a 40-hour unit orientation. New hires must be fully available with no other commitments during this period, as missing any part of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.

Scrubs

Employee-provided scrubs are required in royal blue.
