Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced healthcare environment. This position offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while utilizing advanced nursing skills.

Shifts

• Rotating shifts: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM & 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM
• Must have flexibility to work variable shifts as operational needs require

Responsibilities

• Assess patient conditions and monitor vital signs.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Prepare for potential rotation to units J1-2, J33, and ED to care for similar patient populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent nursing experience in a stepdown specialty.
• A current Ohio RN license or a compact state license is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certifications are required.
• Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate training during orientation with an acceptable score on both assessments.

Additional Requirements

• Must work at least every other holiday.
