Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This position involves providing high-quality care to patients in a stepdown unit and may require floating to additional units to support the same patient population.

Shifts and Schedule

• Rotating shifts: 7pm-7:30am / 7am-7:30pm
• Variable shifts may occur as needed to meet operational requirements.
• Work schedule includes at least every other holiday.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a stepdown environment.
• Monitor patients’ conditions and report any changes to the healthcare team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Provide patient education and support to patients and their families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12 months of permanent experience in the specialty applying for.
• Must possess a current Ohio nursing license or a compact state license.
• Required certifications: AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation, achieving an acceptable score on both.
