Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN)

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in a high-risk environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional care to mothers and newborns throughout the labor and delivery process.

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in the labor and delivery unit, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for mothers and babies.
• Perform fetal heart monitoring (FHM) and assess the health of the fetus during labor.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families throughout the labor and delivery experience.
• Triage patients based on urgency and clinical need.
• Float within the skillset to related units such as Mom/Baby and postpartum.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience with a focus on high-risk labor and delivery.
• Must have completed at least one prior travel assignment.
• Certifications required:
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • STABLE
  • C-EFM (Certified Electronic Fetal Monitoring)
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support)
• Experience in precepting and/or serving in a charge nurse role is preferred.
• Preferred experience in triage.

Work Schedule

• 3×12 hour shifts during the daytime (07:00 – 19:30).
• Must be available for call periodically, with a commitment of 36 hours in 6 weeks or 12 hours per pay period.
• Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.
